If a food product forming part of a registered group is changed, the undertaking shall submit to the Service a notification regarding changes to a food product belonging to a specified group.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    In order to make changes to a registered food of a particular group, an application must be submitted.

    The documents shall be submitted to the PVD or by post.

    Electronically signed documents:
    • to be sent to an e-mail address in nrd@pvd.gov.lv;
    • to be submitted via the e-address of the institution;
    • to be submitted via the e-service institution's home page.

    This service is provided for free.

  2. Receipt of services
    The PVD shall review the documents submitted within one month and take a decision on making changes to the register of foods belonging to certain groups.
