In order to keep wild wild animals, primates, marine mammals, crocodile layers and snakelike animals, the holding site must be registered with the Food and Veterinary Service.

  1. Service requests
    The owner of animals shall pay the State fee for the registration of the holding site of wild species and shall then submit to the Service a submission for registration of the holding site of wild species and copies of documents certifying the origin of animals.

    An application signed with an e-signature may also be submitted by e-mail.

    It may also be submitted via the e-address of the institution.

    The service shall be subject to a national fee of EUR 9,96 if the registration certificate is issued; EUR 8,54 if the registration certificate is not issued.

  2. Service Processing
    The Service shall, within five working days after receipt of the submission, register the place of holding the animals.

  3. Receipt of services
    The Service has registered a holding site for wild species during the specified time period. If the owner of the animals changes or the place of the holding of animals or the holding of animals is intended to hold an animal of a species not referred to in the application, the owner of the animals shall submit the relevant information to the Service within a week. In addition to the information on the holding of an animal of a species not mentioned in the application, a copy of the document certifying the origin of the animal concerned shall be attached.
